About Mariona
Hello my name is Mariona and I am a local Washington DC tennis coach with over 20 years of playing experience and over 7 years of teaching experience! I started playing tennis when I was just 3 years old & my deep passion for the game has grown ever since. I played competitively throughout my school years and into college, where I honed my skills and also deepened my understanding of the sport.
After college, I then transitioned into coaching tennis and have since accumulated extensive experience, working with players of all ages and skill levels. My teaching approach focuses not only on improving technique but also on fostering a love for the game and also helping players build confidence on and off the court. I tailor my lessons to each individual’s needs, ensuring both a supportive and encouraging environment for growth. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your skills, I’m excited to help you reach your tennis goals!
I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!
I teach tennis lessons in the Washington DC area and do not travel.

Private Tennis Lessons (1 Player): $50 Per Hour
Semi-Private Tennis Lessons (2 Players): $35 Per Hour Each
Group Tennis Lessons (3+ Players): $30 Per Hour Each
Hitting Only Sessions (1 Player): $50 Per Hour

*Please note that if you are interested in semi-private tennis lessons (2 players) or group tennis lessons (3+ players), you will first need to find a friend(s) to take tennis lessons with you before contacting me.
