About Janine
Hello my name is Janine and I am a local Tampa tennis coach with over 19 years of playing experience and over 8 years of teaching experience! My goal is take all of my training and experience and share my knowledge from all those years. Tennis has given me so much and I want others to experience that too! I began training at the young age of 8 and fell in love with the sport ever since. I was trained by my father and the former coach of Justine Henin (Cesar Villaroel).
I accomplished my goal of competing at a collegiate level. I played for a D1 NJCAA school, Eastern Florida State College. During my time there, I led the team to nationals (ranked #4 in the country), played line 4 and had a 18 match winning streak. I eventually transferred to and then graduated from Harvard University in 2020. I coached for a number of tennis clubs, most notably, West Side Tennis Club where I worked as a tennis coach as well as the junior program coordinator. I completely redesigned the junior tennis academy while there with the amazing help of former French Open champion, Luke Jensen.
I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!
I teach tennis lessons in the Tampa and St. Petersburg area but I am also willing to travel up to 10 miles to a tennis court located near you.

Semi-Private Tennis Lessons (2 Players): $40 Per Hour Each
Group Tennis Lessons (3+ Players): $35 Per Hour Each
Hitting Only Sessions (1 Player): $60 Per Hour
