About Leana
Hello my name is Leana and I am a fun, local Springfield tennis coach with over 18 years of playing experience & over 2 years of teaching experience! I started playing tennis at the age of three years old. It’s been my passion for the past 18 years. I was selected by the French Tennis Federation & competed in every national junior championship in France & took part in several ITF (International Tennis Federation) tournaments (including in Kenya, Egypt and also Italy). I have a strong playing experience on both the junior and pro circuits (having played qualifying rounds in both 15K and 60K tournaments). I’m currently a student-athlete in my third year at Drury University, where I play for the women’s tennis team. Alongside my training, I have also coached players of all ages, from five year old beginners to adult players at a tennis academy in France. I am patient, attentive and a very high-energy coach but I am also very enthusiastic, encouraging and highly adaptable to each player’s needs. My goal is to create a positive and motivating environment that allows all of my tennis students that I teach to progress, gain confidence and enjoy their time on the court.
I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!
I teach tennis lessons in the Springfield area but I will also travel up to 5 miles to a tennis court that is conveniently located close to you.
