About SJ
Hello my name is SJ and I am a local Irvine tennis coach with over 20 years of playing experience and over 5 years of teaching experience! I am a tennis coach from The Netherlands. I just moved to Irvine as I have been assigned as the new Graduate Assistant Tennis Coach for the tennis team over at Concordia University Irvine. Before that, I was coaching for a year in New York (FutureStars, Southampton) and also Florida (Hunters Run Country Club, Boynton Beach). Prior to that year of tennis coaching, I played four years of college tennis for a Top 10 ranked NAIA school located in Kentucky. During the summers, I was coaching tennis in the state of Maine. Coaching tennis is/has always been a big passion of mine and I can work with players of all ages and levels. I like to coach with enthusiasm, sharing my knowledge of the game while keeping things fun and entertaining out on the court.
I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!
I teach tennis lessons in the Irvine area but I will travel up to 5 miles.

Private Tennis Lessons (1 Player): $60 Per Hour
Semi-Private Tennis Lessons (2 Players): $30 Per Hour Each
Group Tennis Lessons (3+ Players): $30 Per Hour Each
Hitting Only Sessions (1 Player): $60 Per Hour

*Please note that if you are interested in semi-private tennis lessons (2 players) or group tennis lessons (3+ players), you will first need to find a friend(s) to take tennis lessons with you before contacting me.
