Playing tennis is ideal in Mission Viejo with the mild climate and several great USTA (United States Tennis Association) sanctioned tennis tournaments to get involved in including the fun Jay Amos Junior Satellite tournament with Boys’ and Girls’ Singles for intermediate players that is held at the gorgeous Mission Viejo Country Club.
There are novice non-sanctioned level tournaments as well that include the November Junior Novice and the exciting Summer Junior Novice tournaments. The non-single elimination style round robin format allows players to play everyone in their age division. These types of tennis events work well if you are new to the game of tennis and can handle the entry level competition.
The city of Mission Viejo has two premier tennis facilities that are open to the public for kids, teens, adults and seniors to enjoy. The Marguerite Tennis Pavilion and the Felipe Tennis Center have a total of 13 lighted tennis courts to take tennis lessons or play a friendly match. These courts are the home of numerous exciting tennis events that include the fun Wheelchair Doubles Masters Championships which attracts the best competitors in the world.
