About Garlund
Hello my name is Garlund and I am local Richmond tennis coach with over 35 years of playing experience and over 10 years of teaching experience! I am also a USPTA Certified Tennis Professional and I am Safe Play approved as well as CPR/AED certified. I am from New York City and have been playing tennis since I was a teenager. I volunteer at the US Men’s Clay Courts Championship-it’s my way of giving back to the game I love so much. I am the captain of USTA league teams, have a winning record in league sectionals and I am an experienced racquet stringer. I currently have been working as a tennis pro at The Briar Club for over 3 years and I am the administrator of Sugar Land Tennis Group on Facebook. When asked, I will always provide a tip to improve a stroke or offer a tactical solution for winning a point. When not I am not playing or teaching tennis, I love to cook for my family!
I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!
I teach tennis lessons in the Richmond area but I will also travel up to 30 miles to a tennis court that is conveniently located close to you.
