About Hugo
Hello my name is Hugo and I am a local Durham tennis coach with over 18 years of playing experience and over 5 years of teaching experience! I am currently a Division 1 tennis player at NCCA (North Carolina Central University) with a UTR (Ultimate Tennis Rating) of 12.8 and I’m proud to be the MEAC Player of the Year in 2024. My passion for tennis has taken me to compete at the highest levels and I have had the opportunity to train alongside ATP Pro Tour players in Spain. While my focus is on my own competitive career, I also offer personalized training sessions for players who want to improve their tennis game. Whether you are a beginner or looking to refine your competitive edge, I can share all of my past experience and help you develop the skills that you need to succeed out on the tennis court!
I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!
I teach tennis lessons in the Durham area at the NCCA tennis courts but do not travel at this time to any other locations to teach lessons.
