About Bill

Hi my name is Bill & I’m a fun, local Spring Valley tennis coach with over 47 years of playing experience! I peaked as one of the best 5.0 players in NorCal during the early 2000’s making the Top 8 in Grand Prix points and making the season end tournament. I was especially known for kick serves and world class volleys. I have been coaching for 34 years and I am the author of 7 books. My former players have played the professional tour, many have played college tennis and around 100 have won championships & awards in high school tennis.

On the other hand, about 80% of people who play tennis just want to rally with a friend, 15% want to just play socially and not embarrass themselves and less than 5% want to get super competitive. I love them all! Which one are you? For many years I was a USPTA and PTR pro, but I have studied so much neuroscience and much of what they teach no longer appeals to me or students. I get you playing FAST!

I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!

I teach tennis lessons in the Spring Valley area but I am also willing to travel up to 10 miles to a tennis court that is conveniently near you.
