Danville, California is a charming town located in the heart of the San Ramon Valley. The residents of Danville love to stay active by playing tennis and competing in the fun local tennis tournaments including the Generation Gap NTRP/Open Tournament for juniors, adults and seniors. This annual event in Danville includes NTRP (National Tennis Rating Program) Men’s and NTRP Women’s Singles (4.5-5.5) as well as Men’s and Women’s Open Singles.
The NTRP is the rating program used by the USTA (United States Tennis Association) to determine the skill level of a tennis player.
Another exciting tennis event that’s fun for the whole family is the ROG Family Tournament which is a USTA sanctioned tournament that offers three events consisting of the Parent-Child Red Ball, the Parent-Child Orange Ball and the Parent-Child Green Ball.
In addition, the tournament includes Father and Son Doubles as well as Mother and Daughter Doubles and is held in Danville at Blackhawk Tennis Villas. It’s a tournament you won’t want to miss!
The town of Danville is proud to offer numerous outdoor tennis courts that are located throughout the area for the community to enjoy tennis lessons or a game or two. The Blackhawk Country Club in Danville boasts two award-winning tennis facilities which feature 20 beautiful outdoor tennis courts for players of all levels from beginner to advanced. All of the tennis courts are lighted to allow for some fun evening tennis matches or fun tennis lessons!
