The exciting Ames Academy Junior Open is a USTA sanctioned tennis event for intermediate junior players with both Boys’ and Girls’ Singles, Orange Level 1 Boys’ and Girls’ 10 and Under Singles and Boys’ and Girls’ Doubles. The Ames Boys’ and Girls’ 16s and 12s Futures Qualifier is another great tournament held at the Ames Racquet and Fitness Center with Boys’ and Girls’ Singles and Doubles.

Ames Parks and Recreation manages more than 1,200 acres of parks and dozens of outdoor tennis courts to choose from to take a variety of tennis lessons that will suit any needs from kids up to adults.
Brookside Park is a beautiful wooded area with the pretty scenic landscape of Squaw Creek running through it. The park features outdoor tennis courts that are open to the public for residents to brush up on their tennis game.
